2. When it is too strained due to constant recharging and discharging.

How does it work?
A lithium-ion battery is reconditioned by:
1. First, determine the current charge of the battery. This step will help you decide on how exactly you will recondition your battery.
2. After, you can either then apply any of the following to remedies on your Li-ion battery:
o Charge slowly your battery when it has only a charge of 1.5 volts to fully restore its full capacity.
o Use a desulfator to send high-pulse charges to shatter formations of crystals.
o Sometimes, one cell in it is unequally discharged, usually below 2.5 volts. At this point, the battery dies. To reactivate the safety circuit in your battery, boost charge it using a special or programmable charger.
o To do away with the memory effects, slowly discharge your battery.
